BIOGRAPHY
Since 2002 James has taken every opportunity to gain extensive experience and build a career within the creative arts industry. This has led him to work in a variety of music-related roles within the UK, Italy, and Tenerife. These have included: studio-based music production, studio management, live sound, songwriting/arrangement, performing as a session musician (guitar, bass, drums, piano, vocals), working in video production, and photography.
Since 2011 he has taught music technology and creative media within both higher and further education at the University of Wolverhampton, BIMM Institute Birmingham, Shrewsbury Colleges Group and The City of Wolverhampton College respectively. These professional experiences have directly informed his teaching across levels 1-7. Supporting his ongoing development as a teacher James completed a Masters degree in Audio Production, and was acknowledged for his outstanding achievement by a panel of industry professionals as part of the JAMES Accreditation consortium in 2017.
James has also completed a PGCE Post-Compulsory Education (PGCE-PCE) qualification to further his knowledge and growth as a teacher.
With over 15 years working within the creative arts industry, James continues to work extensively in multiple areas of the creative arts sector including audio production, live events, video production, sports events and more.
